UK marketplace OnBuy launches in 12 EU markets
OnBuy is expanding into 12 European countries, including Germany, France, Spain, and Italy. The platform is currently the fastest-growing in the UK, driven by its unique cashback system that generates a repeat purchase rate of over 50%. By the end of 2025, OnBuy aims to be active in 20 countries. Over the next 12 months, the company targets at least an additional £1 billion in GMV and 5 million new customers. Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days returns October 7th and 8th
Amazon will kick off the holiday shopping season with its Prime Big Deal Days on October 7th and 8th. Early offers are already available, featuring products from brands such as Samsung, Dyson, and Clinique. The event will be rolled out simultaneously across 10 European countries. More on Amazon

eBay to acquire Tise

Strong growth for Allegro
In the second quarter, GMV of the Polish marketplace Allegro rose by almost 10% year over year, while revenue increased by 18%. International business also performed strongly, with GMV in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary growing by 61%. Advertising revenues and user numbers were also on the rise. Temu courts German sellers

Pimkie’s Shein partnership sparks trouble
Pimkie is facing major backlash for joining Shein’s Xcelerate program. The brand’s former owner, the Mulliez family, is preparing legal action, accusing Pimkie of breaching a contractual clause safeguarding the label’s independence.
