Temu opens up to Switzerland
Starting today, September 15, local retailers in Switzerland can sell their products via Temu. Shipping to other countries will be added later. According to Carpathia, Temu is one of the 10 most important online marketplaces in Switzerland. More at Temu.

12.5% more European users for Temu
In the first half of this year, Temu attracted an average of 115.7 million Europeans to its platform each month. That’s 12.9 million more than in the second half of last year. In the major European markets, growth was between 13 and 20%, with particularly strong growth in France. Despite this significant growth, Temu still lags well behind Shein in Europe, which has an average of around 145.7 million users per month. Major annoyance among Amazon’s electronics retailers
Amazon is requiring electronics retailers to provide proof by September 17 that their branded products come from authorized suppliers. Those who do not comply with the new requirement risk having their products removed from the platform. AI changes marketplace search
ChatGPT is becoming the most important driver in search: in August, a good 13% of referral clicks on eBay.com came from ChatGPT. By comparison, more than 20% of referral clicks on Walmart came from the AI tool, and 4% on Amazon. Find out more at Chiefmarketer
Ricardo parent company’s IPO expected to raise €4.5 billion
